Basketball Game Preview: Booker Tornadoes vs. Sarasota Sailors

The Booker Tornadoes just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Sarasota Sailors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, Booker took their contest with ease, bagging a 76-49 win over Bayshore. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Booker's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was J.P Lattimore, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Perets, who had 11 points.

Meanwhile, Sarasota entered their tilt with Forest on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over the Wildcats.

Booker pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.3 points. As for Sarasota, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.

Booker was taken down by Sarasota 72-41 in their previous meeting last Friday. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Booker was down 47-12.
