Birdville entered their tilt with Richland on Tuesday with 17 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 18. They put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 17 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Birdville's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Richland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9-2.

Coincidentally, Birdville and Richland will both be playing Grapevine the next time they take the field. The Hawks will host the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Royals will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
