Baseball Recap: Irving Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Irving faced off against MacArthur on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 8-3 to the Cardinals. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Irving saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Alcala, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Esteban Chia was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Irving's record is now 5-18-1. As for MacArthur, their record now sits at 19-9.

While Irving had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
