Volleyball Recap: Union County Has No Trouble Against Andrews

It was a proper cat-fight when Union County duked it out with Andrews on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Union County not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Andrews between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-17.

Sofia Foster paced Union County's offense, picking up ten kills. Foster got some help from Kamryn Brown and her 25 assists. Brown was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Union County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Andrews, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will welcome Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrews, they will challenge Cherokee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
