Onaway is 9-1 against Rogers City since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Onaway Cardinals will square off against the Rogers City Hurons at 7:30 p.m. Onaway has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Rogers City will come in with four straight victories.

Last Thursday, Onaway lost to Inland Lakes at home by a 53-39 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 123rd).

Meanwhile, everything went Rogers City's way against Hillman on Tuesday as Rogers City made off with a 45-20 win. The Hurons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 25 points or more this season.

Rogers City's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Onaway, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Onaway came out on top in a nail-biter against Rogers City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 33-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Onaway since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
