 Cedar Valley won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Friday. They suffered a  rough 16-3 defeat at the hands of the Desert Hills Thunder. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Cedar Valley has scored all season.
  Ethan Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-3 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Even though they lost, Cedar Valley  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 On Desert Hills' side, they got a great performance from  Maddux MacIntosh as he  tossed five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits (he also only allowed one  walk).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Haigen Reed, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  stolen bases,  and three  runs.  Jace Fillmore was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Cedar Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Desert Hills, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
 Cedar Valley is on the road again  on Saturday to play Wasatch at 2:00  p.m. As for Desert Hills, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Juab at 7:00  p.m.
