Basketball Game Preview: Pace Academy Knights vs. Creekside Seminoles + Official Tickets

Pace Academy hasn't had much luck against Creekside recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Knights will head out to take on the Seminoles at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pace Academy is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Forest Park: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Knights blew the Panthers out of the water with a 69-2 final score. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lawson Monroe was a one-woman wrecking crew as she went 12-for-14 to rack up 26 points in addition to six steals and five boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Pace Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Smith, who shot 41% from the field on her way to 15 points and four steals.

Pace Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Creekside made easy work of Midtown on Friday and carried off a 68-44 win. The Seminoles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 24 points or more this season.

Pace Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Creekside, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Pace Academy was taken down by Creekside 67-28 when the teams last played back in February. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Seminoles' C'India Dennis, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine assists. Now that the Knights know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
