Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Waubonsie Valley turned things around against Naperville North on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bolingbrook.

Plainfield East was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 18 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 12-23. As for Waubonsie Valley, their win bumped their record up to 14-18.
