Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Cadets vs. Southington Blue Knights

The St. Joseph Cadets will venture away from home to face off against the Southington Blue Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southington took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Joseph, who comes in off a win.

St. Joseph was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Danbury on Saturday. The Cadets blew past the Hatters, posting a 41-0 win. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Hatters recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Southington faced Glastonbury in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. The Blue Knights took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Guardians. The Blue Knights were up 21-7 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

St. Joseph will have to contain Luke Prozzo as he made an impact in Southington's last game. He threw for 238 yards and three TDs, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. Nick Andrews helped out on the ground, rushing for 86 yards.

The win got St. Joseph back to even at 1-1. As for Southington, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
