Alcoa had already won 18 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 19 on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Forrest Rockets. This was payback for the Tornadoes, who suffered a 10-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kaylea Osborne tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maddy Stewart, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Da'Ja Casby was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Alcoa hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive matches.

Alcoa pushed their record up to 40-6 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Forrest, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-11.

Alcoa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forrest, they have already played their next contest, an 8-1 win against Milan on the 21st.
