Volleyball Recap: Berrien Springs Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Berrien Springs kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Norrix Knights.

Berrien Springs was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22.

Kathryn Bergan paced Berrien Springs' offense, picking up eight kills. Bergan got some help from Vivienne Kittleson and her 15 assists. Katie Wilson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The victory got Norrix back to even at 1-1.

Berrien Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Comstock on the 21st. As for Norrix, they will welcome East Grand Rapids at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
