Recap: Fayetteville-Perry Rockets vs. Fairfield Lions
If the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets were feeling good off their 78-37 takedown of the Miami Valley Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fayetteville-Perry fell to Fairfield 58-53. While losing is never fun, Fayetteville-Perry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 595th, while Fairfield is ranked 112th).
Fairfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trey House out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Logan McIntosh was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Fayetteville-Perry has fallen quite a ways from their 19-6 record last season and are now at 2-5. As for Fairfield, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Fayetteville-Perry will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Western Brown at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Western Brown is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Fairfield and Federal Hocking will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at.
