Volleyball Recap: High Tech SD Gets the Win

High Tech SD won the last time they faced Mission Bay and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Storm came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 3-1.

High Tech SD had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Mission Bay saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zeth Abelman had 17 digs and two aces.

High Tech SD is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Mission Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. High Tech SD will square off against rival Canyon Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mission Bay is set to face off against their familiar foe Coronado at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
