ThunderRidge has no trouble against Regis Jesuit

Recap: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders

On Friday, the ThunderRidge Grizzlies faced the Regis Jesuit Raiders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. ThunderRidge was the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over Regis Jesuit. ThunderRidge pushed the score to 45-24 by the end of the third, a deficit Regis Jesuit cut but never quite recovered from.

ThunderRidge had a senior duo take command as Andrew Crawford scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists and Tommy Wight scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Paine, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Regis Jesuit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Damarius Taylor. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Eric Fiedler, who scored seven points.

Regis Jesuit struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

ThunderRidge's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Regis Jesuit, they dropped their record down to 13-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.

ThunderRidge will face off against Mountain Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Regis Jesuit, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Castle View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Regis Jesuit is facing Castle View at the right time seeing as Castle View is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
