After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fairview, Legacy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rocky Mountain Lobos with a sharp 34-14 victory. The Lightning pushed the score to 27-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lobos cut but never quite recovered from.
Andrew Gardner was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 198 yards and one TD while completing 72% of his passes. 97 of Gardner's passing yards were hauled in by Wyatt Geissinger, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
The win got Legacy back to even at 1-1. As for Rocky Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
