Baseball Recap: Streator Triumphs

The Streator Bulldogs earned a 12-7 victory over Non Varsity Opponent on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Joe Hoekstra made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hoekstra was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Streator got a massive performance out of Tristian Finley, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Isiah Weibel was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Streator's win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Streator didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Herscher on the 31st. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they have also already played their next contest, a 16-11 loss against Loving on the 29th.
