Volleyball Game Preview: Miller Rustlers vs. Ethan Rustlers

Miller has gone 6-1 against Ethan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Miller will be playing at home against Ethan at 7:00 p.m. Miller is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Miller is returning to their home court after beating Wolsey-Wessington on theirs, despite the fact Wolsey-Wessington has dominated at home this season. The Rustlers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warbirds on Monday.

In the three sets Miller was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14, 18-25, 25-11.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ethan's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Avon by a score of 3-2. While the Rustlers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 25-12 in the first set.

Ethan actually scored more points across those five sets (106-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 18-16.

Ethan's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Miller, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.

Miller took their win against Ethan in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will Miller repeat their success, or does Ethan has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
