Basketball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado lost against Oak Grove Classical Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Leopards were dealt a 74-38 loss at the hands of the Owls. The Leopards were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-27.

Oak Grove Classical Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Atkinson led the charge by putting up 28 points. Another player making a difference was Diego Macias, who posted 18 points.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Coronado will be home for the holidays to greet Questa at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Magdalena at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
