Softball Recap: Anderson Indians vs. Fishers Tigers
Anderson extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-12 in the process. They lost 11-4 to the Fishers Tigers. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.
Emma Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaycen Swink, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
As for Fishers, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-10. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
On Fishers' side, Azstryd Alexander was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits Alexander has posted since back in April. Kendall Jordan was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fishers, they will face off against Pendleton Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Arabians have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
