Jayden Wetzel continued his hot streak on Monday by dropping his third-straight game with at least one stolen base. He scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He was up against Yates Center and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them on Monday. Wetzel has become a key player for Northeast: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-6 otherwise.

Coming up, Wetzel and Northeast will welcome Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are 8-2 against the Indians going back to April of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
