Meanwhile, Ridgefield fell victim to Darien and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Blue Wave by a score of 1-0. Ridgefield have struggled against Darien recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Ridgefield's loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for New Canaan, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.
