Preview: Barr-Reeve Vikings vs. Lanesville Eagles
The Barr-Reeve Vikings and the Lanesville Eagles will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Barr-Reeve sitting on three straight wins and Lanesville on 11.
Barr-Reeve extended their postseason success on Saturday against Orleans. They snuck past the Bulldogs with a 33-27 win.
It was another big night for Hannah Bledsoe, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Elle Knepp, who scored five points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Lanesville can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 41-20 margin over Borden.
Hylton Brumley was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points. Shelby Allen was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Barr-Reeve is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. As for Lanesville, their win bumped their record up to 25-1.
