Baseball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis lost against Monterey back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sharks took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dores. Sharks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Dores since on Tuesday.

St. Francis has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Monterey, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.

St. Francis has already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Soledad on the 1st. As for Monterey, they will head out to face off against Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dores' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Padres have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
