Baseball Recap: Tuloso-Midway Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

While Tuloso-Midway put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Jones. The Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees walked away with a 4-0 win over the Jones Trojans. The Warriors & Cherokees haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Tuloso-Midway pushed their record up to 12-5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Jones, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tuloso-Midway will square off against Colbert at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Colbert 1.2, Tuloso-Midway 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Jones, they will take on Victoria East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victoria East knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Jones likes a good challenge.
