Softball Recap: Philip Simmons Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Philip Simmons was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 17-0 to the Andrews Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Iron Horses of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

Philip Simmons' defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Andrews, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philip Simmons will square off against Timberland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrews, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Waccamaw at 6:00 p.m.
