The Farragut Admirals will take on the Beech Buccaneers in a tournament on Saturday. Farragut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Farragut will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against West Creek on Friday. Farragut put the hurt on West Creek with a sharp 10-1 win. The contest marked the Admirals' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Hudson Bradford looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Taylor Woody, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Camryn Shrader was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Farragut always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Beech unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Trousdale County by a score of 8-6 on Monday.

Farragut's win bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for Beech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Farragut was able to grind out a solid victory over Beech in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 3-0. Does Farragut have another victory up their sleeve, or will Beech turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
