Graden Pontius Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, South Callaway got the W thanks in part to Graden Pontius playing the best football he has all season. Pontius rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 40 yards and a touchdown.

The victory (which was South Callaway's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Pontius and South Callaway will head out on the road to take on Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tyson Douglas Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Tyson Douglas produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Van-Far to the win on Friday. Douglas rushed for 291 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (118.2).

Van-Far's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Douglas and Van-Far will challenge North Callaway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wright City came up short on Friday despite Dayton Humphreys delivering his best game to date. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Wright City's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. Humphreys and Wright City will take on Montgomery County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
