Baseball Recap: Beaver Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Beaver's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Hampton Talbots by a score of 5-1. While the Bobcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ty Butler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Beaver saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Tanner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Beaver pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hampton, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Beaver will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hampton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
