Football Recap: Southern Wayne Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Southern Wayne had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 49-8 loss at the hands of the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons. The Saints were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Falcons from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

As for C.B. Aycock, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

C.B. Aycock found their leader in sophomore Caleb Jackson, who rushed for 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 71 receiving yards and one score. Sidney Lancaster was another key player, throwing for 106 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

Southern Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for C.B. Aycock, they will head out on the road to take on West Carteret at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
