Bryce Buchalter posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out five batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Wallkill is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-4 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Buchalter and Wallkill will venture away from home to face off against Red Hook at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
