Football Game Preview: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Bolivar Liberators

The Carl Junction Bulldogs will take on the Bolivar Liberators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carl Junction has given up an average of 26.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carl Junction made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Branson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 35-32 on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bolivar not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 48-24). Everything went their way against Hillcrest as they made off with a 28-7 victory.

Carl Junction's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Bolivar, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Carl Junction lost to Bolivar at home by a decisive 24-6 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
