Basketball Recap: Mission Bay Comes Up Short

Mission Bay lost against St. Augustine back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mission Bay Buccaneers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the St. Augustine Saints. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Buccaneers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Saints are ranked 144th).

Mission Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for St. Augustine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-14.

Coming up, Mission Bay will challenge University City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Augustine, they will head out on the road to face off against Scripps Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
