Preview: Waldorf Mavericks vs. Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons
The Waldorf Mavericks on the road again on Thursday and play against the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-45, which was the final score in Waldorf's tilt against DCP Alum Rock two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Crystal Springs Uplands' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 53-43 to Westmoor.
Waldorf bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
Waldorf came up short against Crystal Springs Uplands when the teams last played back in February of 2015, falling 40-35. Can Waldorf avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
