Softball Recap: North Summit Takes a Loss

North Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Grand County Red Devils, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-1 on Friday.

North Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Grand County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Summit will take on San Juan at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Grand County, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Monticello at 3:30 p.m. on the 24th.
