Football Recap: Mahwah's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Mahwah's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders 28-6. Considering the Thunderbirds have won three games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mahwah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Matthew Odumgba and Chris Defelice.

The win snapped Mahwah's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Dwight Morrow, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mahwah will face off against Paramus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dwight Morrow, they will square off against Glen Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Maroon Raiders will need to watch out since the Ridgers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
