Soccer Recap: Neosho Comes Up Short

Neosho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Waynesville Tigers who were credited with the victory. The Waynesville Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Neosho Wildcats' three. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Neosho of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Neosho's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Waynesville, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Coming up, Neosho will head out on the road to face off against Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waynesville, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Webb City on the 18th.
