Softball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Comes Up Short

Benjamin Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-9 to the Newman Greenies.

Benjamin Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Newman, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benjamin Franklin will challenge New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newman, they will face off against St. Mary's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Greenies will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight games.
