Football Recap: Randy Davenport Jr. and Adrian Talamantez Cuadras Pace Highland Defense + How To Watch

Highland was the 17-14 winner over Kingsburg when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the Scots and the Vikings didn't end well, with the Scots falling 21-7. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Vikings are ranked 182nd).

Highland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Randy Davenport Jr. and Adrian Talamantez Cuadras.

Kingsburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Leibee out in front who rushed for 98 yards and one TD, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Cooper Holt was another key player, rushing for 51 yards and one touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Highland and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Kingsburg, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 46-13 loss against Porterville on the 18th. As for Kingsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 victory against Sanger on the 19th.
