Softball Recap: Spokane Owls vs. Warsaw Wildcats
Sadly, Spokane is still looking for their first win of the season after eight matchups. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 19-0 walloping at the hands of the Warsaw Wildcats on Saturday.
For Warsaw's part, they got a massive performance out of Haylee Cobb, who went 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Tanna Howe was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Spokane's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Warsaw, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spokane is on the road again on Thursday to play Clever at 5:00 p.m. As for Warsaw, they will square off against Versailles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Warsaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
