Basketball Recap: Spring Creek's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of four wins, Spring Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took an 81-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Needles Mustangs.

Spring Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Snowdon Bear Williams, who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Djrevan Demick was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 18 points and five steals.

Even though they lost, Spring Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Needles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Mills, who had 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Walema, who put up 19 points.

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Needles, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Spring Creek will host Lowry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.
