Basketball Recap: Woodlake Comes Up Short

Woodlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-34 loss at the hands of the Corcoran Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1286th, while the Panthers are ranked 372nd).

Corcoran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Javon Bragg, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. The game was Bragg's 17th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Izaiah Gonzalez, who went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Woodlake's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Corcoran, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

As of now, neither Woodlake nor Corcoran have any future games scheduled.
