Recap: Nicolet Knights vs. Dominican Knights
The Nicolet Knights had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They managed a 77-73 victory over Dominican. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Davion Hannah was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Bender, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Nicolet's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Dominican, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Nicolet won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Thomas More at 7:45 p.m. on December 29th. One thing working in St. Thomas More's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Dominican, they will be playing at home against St. John's Northwestern Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. John's Northwestern Military Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Dominican is ranked 26th).
