Basketball Game Preview: Friends' Central vs. Springdale Prep Lions

Friends' Central will square off against the Springdale Prep Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Friends' Central is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since February 6, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past Chambersburg 50-47. The victory was all the more spectacular given Friends' Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Chambersburg is ranked 29th).

It was another big night for Gabe Moore, who went 8 of 11 en route to 23 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Evan Boyer, who posted six points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Springdale Prep earned a 73-65 win over Winters Mill on Saturday.

Springdale Prep's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.9 points per game. As for Friends' Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
