Recap: Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials vs. Yorktown Patriots
The Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Yorktown by a score of 60-57. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology has not had much luck with Yorktown recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Brennan Pilot was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points for Yorktown. Austin Barbieri was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Yorktown, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hayfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Yorktown, they will head out on the road to face off against George C. Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. George C. Marshall will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
