Softball Recap: Muncie Central Comes Up Short at Home Against New Castle

Muncie Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 25-0 to the New Castle Trojans on Saturday. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

The victory was the third in a row for New Castle, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Muncie Central will challenge Indianapolis Arsenal Technical at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Castle, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Delta at 5:30 p.m. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
