Football Recap: Ivan Jaime Leads Del Oro's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Del Oro lost against Firebaugh back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Suns took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Suns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Del Oro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ivan Jaime.

A big part of Firebaugh's victory came down to the chemistry between Leonardo Perez and his top target Dominic Barajas. Perez rushed for 87 yards and one TD on only 11 carries while Barajas picked up 103 receiving yards and one touchdown. That's the most receiving yards Barajas has posted since back in November of 2024. Firebaugh also got a significant boost from Ryan Luna, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 104 yards.

Del Oro now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Firebaugh, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Del Oro and Firebaugh will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Suns see the field they'll take on Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. As for Firebaugh, their break will end when they face Coalinga at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
