Volleyball Recap: Letcher County Central's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Letcher County Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Pulaski County Maroons.

Letcher County Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Cameron Webb paced Letcher County Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Webb got some help from Colby Amburgey and his ten assists. Ashton Lawson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The victory got Letcher County Central back to even at 7-7. As for Pulaski County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Letcher County Central will square off against rival Buckhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pulaski County is set to take on their familiar foe Casey County at 5:00 a.m. on the 29th.
