South Knox dropped their record down to 4-10 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 11-1 to the Princeton Tigers. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Princeton, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games.

For Princeton's part, Jaron Clutter was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Clutter was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jarrett Kinder, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Coming up, South Knox will take on Evansville Mater Dei at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Princeton, they will be playing at home against Vincennes Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Alices have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
