Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Patriots vs. Bothell Cougars

The Liberty Patriots will square off against the Bothell Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Liberty has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Bothell will come in with three straight wins.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Liberty's offense. They fell 3-0 to Edmonds-Woodway on Saturday.

Liberty saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Bell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Bothell ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Inglemoor 3-2.

Blake Skinner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Skinner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Wyatt Mickelberry was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Bothell, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
