The Prairie Grove Tigers will take on the Fayetteville Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Prairie Grove took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Clarksville with a sharp 16-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the match before.

Angelina Petersen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Petersen was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Prairie Grove let Jill Emerson and Ivey Sparkman run wild. Emerson scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Sparkman scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Zoe Dormer was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Prairie Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fayetteville put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Springdale 18-4. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Fayetteville got a massive performance out of Elisabeth Hampton, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ava Garcia, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.
Prairie Grove's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Fayetteville, their win bumped their record up to 6-0-1.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Prairie Grove has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .518. However, it's not like Fayetteville struggles in that department as they've averaged .470. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
